The temple is open in the morning and again in the evening, with a reported midday break — commonly cited as roughly 5:00 AM–12:00 PM and 4:00 PM–9:00 PM. These hours come from public travel sources rather than an official notice, so please verify before visiting; they also change on festival days such as Navratri. The adjoining Karla Caves (managed by the ASI) keep separate hours, roughly 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Entry to the Ekvira Devi Temple is free for all visitors. The adjoining Karla Caves are a separately ticketed monument managed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) — please confirm the current ASI ticket charges before your visit. Parking may be available at the base.

The climb is roughly 350 to 500 stone steps, depending on where the count begins, and takes most visitors about 20 to 40 minutes at a steady pace, with shops and rest spots along the way. There is no confirmed ropeway or doli-for-hire service, so plan to climb on foot. Wear comfortable, non-slip footwear, carry water, and take breaks as needed.

October to March (post-monsoon and winter) offers the most pleasant weather with clear skies and temperatures between 15-25C. The monsoon season (June-September) provides lush greenery and dramatic waterfalls nearby, but steps can be slippery. Summers (April-May) can be warm. For the grandest experience, visit during Navratri (Sep/Oct) or Chaitra Purnima (Mar/Apr).

Yes, there are numerous food stalls and small eateries along the steps and at the base. You can find snacks, chai, nimbu pani (lemon water), and simple vegetarian meals.
